Surface Finishes on Root Form Implants
 Plate Form Implants
 Subperiosteal Implants

There are hundreds of implant types available in the market place today.

We have experience with Branemark, SteriOss, Calcitek and Zimmer root form implant systems.  We also place custom plateform and subperiosteal implants.  The decision on which type to use is dependent on the needs of the individual.

Root form implants come with different types of surface finishes.  They can be smooth machined titanium, acid etched titanium, titanium plasma sprayed or hydroxy-apatite coated.  Their use is dependent on the needs of the individual.

If there is inadequate bone to place root form implants, and the individual does not wish to undergo bone grafting procedures a plate form implant (for narrow bony ridges) or a subperiosteal implant (for lack of adequate bone height) can be used.
