Dr. Don Anderson was born and raised in Vancouver.  He graduated from the University of British Columbia in 1974 with B.Sc. and D.M.D. degrees.  His wife, Penny, of 32 years and his two children, Jessica and Mitch are his primary joys in life.  Dr. Anderson’s General Practice is focused on Cosmetic and Reconstructive Dentistry and Implant Dentistry.  Dr. Anderson has been placing implants since 1988.  He was the co-founder of the first surgically dedicated implant study club in North America (1992).  Dr. Anderson mentors two Study Clubs for Dentists on implant dentistry in Vancouver.  He has lectured in Alberta, British Columbia and Ontario on Implant Dentistry and is the past president of the Oral Implantology Surgical Seminars.  He earned Fellowships with the International Congress of Oral Implantologists (1993), the American College of Dentists, the International College of Dentists and the Academy of Dentistry International.  He is one of first dentists in the province to have graduated from the prestigious Misch International Implant Institute (Canada).  Dr. Anderson is on Faculty as the Western Canadian Representative to the Misch International Implant Institute in Toronto.

Dr. Anderson places root forms implants, subperiosteal implants, and plate form implants.  Bone grafts and skin grafts prior to implant placement are often an important part of treatment to ensure uncompromised implant success.
