Dr. Don Anderson was born and raised in Vancouver.  He graduated from the University of British Columbia in 1974 with B.Sc. and D.M.D. degrees.   His wife, Penny, of 32 years and his two children, Jessica and Mitch are his primary joys in life.  Dr. Anderson’s General Practice is focused on Cosmetic and Reconstructive Dentistry and Implant Dentistry. Dr. Anderson has been placing implants since 1988.  He was the co-founder of the first surgically dedicated implant study club in North America (1992).  Dr. Anderson mentors a Study Club for Dentists on implant dentistry in Castlegar and Vancouver.  He has lectured in Alberta and British Columbia on Implant Dentistry and is the past president of the Oral Implantology Surgical Seminars.   He  earned his Fellowship with the International Congress of Oral Implantologists (1993).  He is one of first dentists in the province to have graduated from the prestigious Misch Institute for Advanced Implant Dentistry. 

Dr. Anderson places root forms implants, subperiosteal implants, and plate form implants.  Bone grafts and skin grafts prior to implant placement are often an important part of treatment to ensure uncompromised implant success.
